Biodiversity Stations

The existing biological diversity in the Arouca Geopark, namely in the Freita Mountain and Paiva River, have justified the implementation of the Biodiversity Station of Merujal and the Biospots of the Paiva Walkways. These stations form a national Biodiversity Stations Network and aim to increase the knowledge about the biodiversity, contribute to the appreciation of the natural heritage, and especially, promote the participation of the citizens in the inventory of our fauna, flora and fungi.

With this project, we challenge you to “RISH” – Register the findings through photography, Identify the species and SHare the information with the society through the website Biodiversity4all
