Description: Perennial plant (lives more than two years), with oblique and short rhizome, densely coated in the apex by linear-lanceolate dark brown scales. The fronds are arranged in a dense tuff, and the fertile are bigger and fewer, petiolated with linear and spaced narrowed segments, almost fully covered by sori, growing in the center of the tuff, while the sterile are pinnatifid, with oblong segments, becoming confluent in the base.

Habitat: Wet and dark places.
