Canelas

Most of the schist and shale used in the constructions that give life to the surrounding villages was taken from Canelas. However, if we went back a few hundred million years, we would find a deep sea, where the (huge) trilobites inhabited. These marine animals have left their «portrait» fossilized in this schist and in this shale. In fact, this schist and this shale are the identity of Canelas. The village extends to the road course, with the paths cutting out the brown row of houses. The dark grey roofs are visible in the distance, and we feel like getting in and getting to know.
