Municipal Museum

Arouca has never abandoned its rural tonality. It is, in fact, a fundamental part of its identity. The proof of this is the Feira das Colheitas, the real municipality festival, that perfectly embodies the dynamic of life connected to the agricultural cycles. Located in the heart of the town, there's a place that preserves these memories and gives them a new life: the Arouca Municipal Museum. The permanent exhibition invites us to know better these dynamics and this identity, and the temporary exhibitions area has been presenting events of great quality. Here, the ethnography, the archeology, the geology and the art are combined in a balanced way.
